1.3 Customer Content (Text, Audio, Documents)

When you use Bhashini.ai services (TTS, ASR, OCR, Translation, etc.), you may submit:

• Text
• Audio
• Images or documents

and receive:

• Speech
• Transcriptions
• Translations
• OCR output

This data is referred to as Customer Content.

Bhashini.ai processes Customer Content only to provide the requested service.

We do not sell, license, or publicly distribute Customer Content.

2. How We Use Customer Content

Customer Content is used solely for:

• Performing the requested AI service
• Delivering results back to you
• Detecting and preventing abuse or system misuse
• Debugging and reliability monitoring (limited and controlled access)

We do not use Customer Content to train public or third-party AI models unless you explicitly agree in writing.

3. Data Retention

3.1 API Content

By default:

• API input and output content may be stored temporarily for system monitoring, debugging, and compliance
• Logs are retained for a limited period, typically up to 30 days, unless required longer for billing disputes, legal compliance, or security investigations

After this period, content is automatically deleted or anonymized.

3.2 Account and Billing Data

We retain:

• Invoices, payments, and tax records as required by law
• Account records while your account remains active

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard safeguards including:

• Encrypted network connections (HTTPS / TLS)
• Secure API key authentication
• Access controls and audit logging
• Segregation of customer data

While no system is 100% secure, we take commercially reasonable measures to protect all data from unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse.

5. Third-Party Service Providers

Bhashini.ai uses a limited number of trusted third-party service providers, including:

• A payment gateway for securely processing customer payment transactions
• Email service providers for account communication, billing notifications, and customer support

These providers receive only the minimum information required to perform their services and are contractually obligated to protect it.

Bhashini.ai does not sell, rent, or trade personal data.

If Bhashini.ai introduces additional service providers in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.

6. Legal Basis for Processing

Bhashini.ai processes personal data and service data only for lawful, necessary, and defined purposes in accordance with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP Act) and other applicable laws.

• System Monitoring and Improvement: To analyze usage patterns, performance, and errors in order to improve system stability, scalability, and quality of service.
• Legal and Regulatory Compliance: To meet obligations under applicable laws, court orders, or regulatory requirements.

We do not use personal data or customer content for advertising, profiling, or resale.

7. User and Customer Rights

• Correction of inaccurate data

• Export of billing or account information

8. Voice Artist and Dataset Privacy

We do not publicly disclose the identities of voice artists whose data may be used to train or build models. All such data is collected under contract and consent for internal use only.

9. Data Location and Processing (India-First)

All Bhashini.ai services are operated from data centers located in India.

All customer data, including API inputs, outputs, logs, and account information, is processed and stored exclusively within data centers located in India. Bhashini.ai does not transfer, mirror, or store customer data outside India.

This ensures:

• Compliance with India’s data protection and sovereignty requirements
• Strong protection for enterprise data
• Predictable legal and regulatory jurisdiction

If, in the future, Bhashini.ai introduces infrastructure outside India, it will do so only with explicit updates to this Privacy Policy and in compliance with applicable Indian data protection laws.
