Our story Bhashini AI Solutions Private Limited was founded by Dr. Shiva Kumar H. R. and Bhargavi Shivakumar in 2015. Its early work focused on making Indian-language books and information easier to read and hear. That foundation now supports speech, voice, translation, document processing and video dubbing through apps, APIs and managed services.

Our team Our team brings together language research, product development, operations, media and software engineering. Co-Founder & Director Language-technology researcher and product builder with a PhD from IISc and more than 15 years of experience at IBM Software Labs. His research helped make printed Kannada and Tamil content accessible to people with visual impairments. Co-Founder & Director Led the creation of more than 100 voices across all 22 Indian languages and the digitization of over 100,000 pages of Kannada literature. Head of Business Development Former Professor of Electrical Engineering and Neuroscience at IISc with more than 25 years of research across speech, reading and Indian-language technologies. Director – Strategy & Operations Brings 15 years across technology, product management and operations, turning company strategy into scalable processes, partnerships and sustainable growth. Sales & Business Development A filmmaker and production-house builder applying voice cloning and VelvetDub to help media teams tell stories and reach audiences across languages.
